The Westside Team

Karen

Karen is our Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator and has been with Westside Orthodontics since 2005.  Coming to us from the fine country of Scotland, she brings her warm and friendly approach to helping patients with their treatment questions, scheduling appointments and/or financial information.  Karen loves being part of the Westside team and the camaraderie that comes with working with such a great, tight knit group of professionals!  She is a major soccer fan and spends her weekends travelling the Lower Mainland as a soccer mum to her two boys.  Karen’s other interests include cycling and watching British TV shows.

Sheena

Sheena has been with Westside Orthodontics since 2005 as a Certified Orthodontic Assistant. She loves being involved with the process of improving patients’ smiles – particularly, the rewarding feeling that comes with the last appointment when the braces come off. Not only does she enjoy taking patients through the orthodontic process, but the opportunity it gives her to work with people from different cultures and ages – anywhere from age 7 to 80! When Sheena is not working with patients, she enjoys watching movies, going to restaurants and catching the latest shows on HGTV.

Caitlin

As the receptionist at Westside Orthodontics, Caitlin is committed to providing efficient and friendly coordination to meet all of our patients’ needs. She particularly enjoys the personal connections that come with working at the front desk.

Have a question regarding new, current, or previous treatment? Caitlin is always happy to assist.

In her free time, she enjoys walking along British Columbia’s beautiful trails with her dog, Clover, browsing farmers’ markets, and working on one of her many crafts.

Mary

Meet Mary, one of our Certified Orthodontic Assistants who is integral to patient care at Westside Orthodontics.  Mary loves working in our open and friendly office; something that drew her to the Westside Team and that continues to make her role exciting and enjoyable.  When she’s not caring for our patients, Mary enjoys driving long distances with music and indulging in seafood.  If she could choose anywhere to visit, she would be travelling to Turkey.

Hi, I’m Avi! As your Orthodontic Assistant, I strive to make sure you feel comfortable and at ease while we work toward your dream smile.

I strongly believe that the best results come from paying attention to the little details, which is why I take great pride in providing careful, precise care. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing that first confident smile in the mirror!

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy soaking up the fresh air and sunshine.

Kailyn

Kailyn is a Certified Dental Assistant with nearly four years of experience in dentistry and one year in orthodontics. She enjoys helping patients feel comfortable while ensuring the office runs smoothly, and she loves making braces appointments a little more fun.

When she’s not at work, Kailyn is a proud bunny mom to Cheeto, David Hassel-Hop, and Nutmeg. She enjoys long naps, good food, and occasionally going to the gym. She also values being part of a team that helps create confident smiles every day.
